As long as we don't hurt one and other..? its all fine..?

"Human rights" is a term frequently used but seldom defined. What rights should belong to every human being? Discuss.
HUMAN RIGHTS.
Human rights it’s a complicated thing
But all of us man and woman need a bit
Some want faith, others want to vote?
These shall be given after all we do have
A conscience therefore a right to choose.

Human rights does not mean a child should drink or smoke
Human rights does not mean a adult can bomb a city
Human rights goes till the extent where no other human is harmed.
Human rights does mean freedom

Freedom to choose a life
Freedom to choose a wife
Freedom of relgion
Freedom of politician
These all or a must

If all these needs are met
Human will be happy
It should not matter whether rich or poor
All mankind deserves these rights
Human rights truly a complicated thing
Each one has a different view on life
Therefore a different view on what rights every human deserves
That’s all I can say about human rights

stop taking my freedom...?

Pakistan bans 'obscene' words from text messages

Here is more interesting news about Pakistan as the cell phone users get some regulation and rules on how one can text each other. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has confirmed that this is actually this news. Most words were inappropriate ones and some other code words which refer sexually explicit things. This has actually become part of the law. This will help cut down the spam and harmful text messages. Just last month many pornography websites have been banned.
This news is very surprising. I can easily seeing Pakistan going backwards instead of progressing. Censorship was a great problem during the 1500’s till the 1900’s . Back in the day many books use be censored in france. The great philosopher Voltaire had to send his work to Holland because of the censorship in france. This makes me really sad as an Indian to see my neighbouring nation oppressing there people and censoring there text messages. This is an invasion of privacy and freedom. If history does repeat itself this law will be over turned and it should be to. I would hate to live in a nation which doesn’t allow me to text freely. Instead each text message will be checked by the company and it won’t send if a few words are wrong. In today’s world texting is one of the most common ways of communication and this way is going to be harmed. Also if Pakistan says it’s a free nation a democracy it cannot ban pornography. Because democracy is for the people, the porn websites also for the people. This was a really bad decision and if history can help predict the future a revolution will happen in Pakistan.
Most of the banned words were deemed sexually explicit or obscene by the PTA, the officials said.
In the notice, the PTA -- the agency that regulates cell phone and internet carriers in Pakistan -- cited a law that bans the transmission of indecent and obscene messages.
Explicit: Stated clearly and in detail, leaving no room for confusion or doubt.
Obscene: Offensive or disgusting by accepted standards of morality and decency.
Transmission: The action or process of transmitting something or the state of being transmitted: "the transmission of the HIV virus".
Our teacher made the rule very explicit when he suspended by brother for sneezing during devotion.
When we were watching the shining in hostel the other night it had some obscene scenes but overall it was a good movie
The transmission of songs is allowed in my school so we support the piracy of music.

What a sad day?

How do you feel about Wednesday?
I wake up in the morning its freezing cold. I don’t want to get out of bed because it’s six in the morning. The sun isn’t even shining outside and I am already sad but Friday is coming,is after all Wednesday. While I lye on my bed I argue in my mind if I should sleep some more or get ready for school. I decide I should sleep until a friend reminds me I have to go early for band. I forgot, most Wednesday mornings are the ones I have band in. So I have to rush get ready and run up the hill to make it up to school. Yes, that’s right Wednesday mornings mean no breakfast. What a sad start to the day after all its just Wednesday and Friday is so near.
Soon as band finishes I run some more to make it on time for assembly. Some announcements are made and a teacher gives devotion. There aren’t many devotions which are worth my precious time so as the teacher talks I wander of in my thoughts thinking about what a bad day its going to. Thinking about how tired I was and how boring the assembly is I start thinking about Friday. I come to a conclusion that Wednesday is already here and the morning is over Friday is just a bit nearer. The assembly is over now and all students are rushing to classes I just hope some of the classes are interesting so my day could get a little better.
I go to my first class and the teacher hands out a test. I’m in shock but the teacher says I told you last week. That’s it this day is going from bad to worse. I take the test which most probably I failed. I get real mad now, why is this day so bad. I start thinking again damn this cursed day I honestly hate Wednesdays.

oh apple...

Select a technological innovation of this century and discuss its effects on your family, local community or nation?
Well this technological innovation changed the world it affected my family, community and my nation. This technological innovation got me interested in music. Finally I could have all the music I love in one place and listen to it at any place or time. This innovation made the movies and internet so much easier. It made the expectations of a normal computer better. But the problem is this thing which changed the world as a whole did not stop it kept on innovating it has new ideas and it just won’t stop. The technological innovation of this century is Apple and they have completely changed my life and effected my local communities life as well.
I can remember so clearly the first time I got my very own disc-man. I was the happiest kid on earth. I use to dream about collecting music CD’S and leaving them in my room. I would go to shops and look of CD cases and I was just the happiest lad around. But two months later something weird happened. It seemed as if I was the only one with a disc-man this made me happy, at least for a while until I came back from the holidays to school.
All the new kids did not have disc-mans but me and a few friends did and we thought we were so awesome. Then I saw an iPod with one of the new kids. I was so amazed at this new device it had all sorts of music and we did not have to keep on buying the CD’s. Once I had swallowed the information of such a magical device I wanted one. Get all my music and have no trouble listening it was amazing. But Apple did not stop they came up with games to play on the iPods they came up with a amazing tablet called the ipad. They kept on innovating and still are. Today most of my family and friends at least use one apple product. But the most important and amazing technological innovation was the iPod.

YIKES!

What outrages you? (Wake Forest)
I’m a 17 year old boy learning the way of life and honestly a lot of things simply frustrate me. A simple fact about me is that I am a soccer fan support a club called Chelsea when they lose it outrages me. I dislike boring things because they outrage me. On more serious terms lying outrages me and getting something what I did not deserve but end up getting.
I watch football games every weekend and I support Chelsea. It really outrages me when I see them loose. I don’t feel sad just angry and frustrated. We had so many great chances to score and win the game but NO! It seems like the players wanted to loose. That just outrages me.
How can boring things outrage someone? Well it’s simple when I’m bored all I can hear is blah-blah even though they might be making sense. This happens a lot during devotion when the teacher keeps on talking nonchalance. During one assembly I learned how much a teacher loved ice cream and she was shocked it was available in musoorie. This Devotion was pointless and super boring. The idea of this devotion just annoys and frustrates me.
The things which outrage me most is lying. Not small lies but big lies which can change a person’s life those lies are just stupid and annoying. These things don’t happen much in Woodstock School but when they do happen it’s frustrating. I could rip apart the liar’s head, at least that’s how I imagine it in my mind. On my report it says “displays positive behavior” it makes me happy to see that but when I open it shows that a De-merit has been given to me. The sheer stupidity of the system that we are part of doesn’t make sense any more. The system of the school sometimes just outrages me. There are other things but this essay would go on forever so I’m going to stop.

Problem free for the rest of your days.....! =)

What is your approach to life? Reveal your life philosophy.
There are many great philosophers that I have learnt about surprisingly there view to life did not influence mine. There times were different even though there way can be applied to our life today I decided to follow a more recent one. It’s called Hakunah-Matata a very common phrase known by all it comes from lion king. This philosophy has inspired and influenced me a lot.
Hakunah matata teaches me to live my life with no worries and be problem free. This doesn’t mean to procrastinate in all the work you do instead its talking about the bigger picture and much smaller things. I don’t worry on what’s going to happen to me in the future. Not in the sense of college but life. Some worry too much about death and others about marriage and we are just in high school. I live in the present because the future brings up to many doubts and worries. So why not enjoy the happiness of today?
People say life is short well I don’t think they would experience anything longer in life. Life is awesome and if you have it you should enjoy it. It doesn’t matter where you are just remember to enjoy life you never know what might happen. As a history student I would like to say the Calvin’s way of life is not the right way. What I mean to say is in life nothing is already decided that’s why we have to live life, to decide what’s going to happen.
Never give up even when everything seems to be going wrong. Hakuna Matata just follow and believe in this phrase you will be happy and solve your problems in a happy manner. I try my best to look at the positive side of life. Try to experience everything I have been offered and that is my philosophy and approach to life

No regrets!

If you were to look back on your high school years, what advice would you give to someone beginning their high school career?

Well kid you need to have fun in your high school years. You need to make memories and graduate with no regrets at all. If you want to break rules don’t get caught. If you do get caught accept your consequences. Work hard but have fun grades are important they decide your future don’t take that lightly but do have fun.
Many say that the high school years of life are one of the best. One needs to realize that this may be true. High school offers so many new experiences some which you will never get a chance to do again or won’t be able do it again. If any opportunities come your way, grab them and enjoy for as long as it lasts.
When I was in high school we use to have these things called activity week. During these we use to do things such as adventure sports and travel sometimes to new nations. In 10th grade I went to Nepal for the jazzmandu festival. This was one of the greatest experiences I have had. Visiting a new country and playing in this jazz festival. Meeting professional musicians from around the world it was amazing. But to take this opportunity we had to practice every morning which was challenging. So in high school I took this opportunity and gained a wonderful experience.
I personally have tried to leave high school with no regrets and have taken most opportunities which come my way. I have had a lot of fun with friends. Watching soccer matches at night was one memory which bring so much joy. Kid, I tell you not to leave with regrets because I had to.

A good man.

Write about a person who has had a significant influence on you, and describe that influence?
One person who has influenced my life significantly is a man from a television show called Barney Stinson acted out by Neil Patrick Harris. Barney Stinson is a character in How I Met Your Mother and he is a very happy carefree character. For one thing Barney has increased my interest in suits. I was never interested in suits but easily convinced by Barney that suits are great. So during formal occasions in our school I don’t complain about the fact that we need to wear suits instead rejoice that we finally get an opportunity. But the main reason Barney Stinson has influenced me is, because of his carefree attitude towards life and the importance he puts friends.
I always use to worry about everything in life consider the negatives before looking at the positive sides. But I realized that it better to see things from a different perspective a positive one. It took me some time but soon I stopped worrying about so many things and enjoyed today then worrying about yesterday. This helped me a lot through high school this new habit of being positive and happy. Instead of always planning I let things come my way let it be a big surprise to me. But through this entire carefree attitude I also learnt that friends are very important and Barney clearly showed me without friends life is slow and boring.
This man or fictional character from a T.V show taught me a new way to live life or at least a new way to look at it. Barney has taught me you should do what you do and leave no regrets behind. I believe that is a very important motto towards life. One should get done of what they need to now in this life before it is too later. I would like to say that Barney Stinson is a great man.

Challenge day 2

Write about some issue of local, national, or international concern and its significance to you?
A major issue which I am concerned about today is the freedom of Tibet. Why would this be a great concern? A lot of people I know are Tibetans and I personally believe that they deserve self-autonomy. In the recent months many monks and nuns have burnt themselves as a way of peaceful protest against the mistreatment of the Tibetan people. This is a very big issue being ignored by the world the politicians of the world seem to have lost their voice in this matter. I am from a country that used to be colonized by gained its freedom through peaceful protest thanks to the man named Gandhi. I believe if other nations do not interfere and talk about the freedom of Tibet to china justice will not be served. All nations are too afraid of talking of this matter because it might cause war but this matter should not be ignored. Whenever I read the news it frustrates me that I can be of no help as a student. I have taken every opportunity offered to help this cause in any way. The thing that frustrates me most is that people are suffering when others can actually do something about. My favorite subject is history and the thing that I learnt was that freedom is very important. I completely agree with this, everyone should have choice in what to do and who they are. Freedom is one thing that no one has right to take away from you. With the technology which is in existence today communication has become so much easier therefore we know how much trouble the Tibetans are going through. As a global citizen of this world I feel great pain in knowing Tibet and Tibetans are not free.

Challenge day 1

Imagine that you have the opportunity to travel back through time. At what point in history would you like to stop and why?

If I had a chance to travel back in time I would stop in the year of 1789. This was during the French Revolution. For me this was one of the moments that shaped the future.
The members of the third estate finally rose up and showed that they can attain change if they want. All of the people united and fought against the injustice being shown towards them. I would like to see how the nobleman and the clergy would react. It interests me in how they would react toward the power shift which is so clear. I would also like to experience a guillotine execution first hand. I want to see how people gain joy at such a hideous sight. It interests me how the peasants went almost crazy burning the houses of the noblemen. I want to be part of the daily conversations with the common people, I want to know how they felt about the revolution. I personally think that this time in history was so important it changed Europe as a whole as it made france so much stronger. I want to also see how the world was 1789 because the scientific revolution and the enlightenment had just happened. So many people would have different opinions on everything as new discoveries were being made. I also am interested to see there sense of fashion back in the day personally I find it hilarious that guys would wear skirts and heels. Its also my personal favorite topic in history class because everything happens so fast, the story of the French revolution was like a movie in real life. I realy want to experience this fascinating time of history because of those reasons stated above.
